I’ve always loved highland cows, but they are extremely intimidating to paint. All the long, messy hair! This picture was even more difficult, because I decided to do the rainbow animal challenge on an artist group I belong to. I had to change and shift the colours of the cow many times while I was painting, until it looked just right. But in the end, all the effort was worth it, because I was chosen as Artist of the Month for my “Rainbow Hairy Coo” painting!
