As a retired software developer, I now say that I’m an artist who doesn’t get technology, to which my wise daughter replies,
“I think you always were.”
The Artist
I’m a Canadian artist based in Calgary, working primarily in gouache and watercolour. My art is rooted in a deep love of animals and the natural world, brought to life through bold colour, rich texture, and a sense of playful imagination.
I’m drawn to both the whimsy and realism of the creatures I paint—whether it’s a cozy fox in a Santa hat or a watchful owl emerging from a dreamlike forest. My work often blends the magical with the natural, and I enjoy reimagining familiar animals with new personality and spirit.
All of my products are printed in Canada; most are printed locally in Calgary.
The Supervisor
The Artist needs constant supervision to ensure all artwork meets minimum quality standards. This is the responsibility of The Supervisor.
The Supervisor is also responsible for the unboxing of shipping and packaging materials, food testing, and ensuring The Artist does not remain seated for too long.
